Cruise to Hawksbill Cay

From Staniel we sailed north to what is our favorite place in the all the Bahamas, Warderick Wells, home and Headquarters of the Exuma Cays Land and Sea Park. Joy and I absolutely love this island, this park, and the people who staff and volunteer at the park. Cruisers like us who also fall in love with this place are willing to spend some time filling in as volunteers wherever they can.  Of course, the directors and Park Rangers are all Bahamian employees who devote years of their lives to this quiet, beautiful piece of paradise. They maintain all the facilities, the moorings, the grounds, and they see to it that locals and cruisers alike abide by the strict rules that help keep this park pristine, a place like no other.  I could  go on forever about the park.  We have been members of the Bahamas National Trust since 2004, supporting the Trust and the efforts of the park, and we never tire or exploring this area. But rather than blather on, I am going to display some of our photos with captions so you enjoy the park with us.
